The Mid-West Ghana Conference’s Education Unit has celebrated its education week with a call on Adventist Parents to enrol their wards into Adventist Schools to help impact on the Children the fundamentals of Adventism at Home, Church and At School. The weeklong celebration which started on the 3rd to 9th of July in various Churches across the Conference was under the Theme: Education for Mission, I will prepare them to go with me".

Some of the activities in the week program include lecture and career Day, Clean up Exercise etc. There were also lectures like "Never lend hand to the enemy", and " A Christian perspective on value education", among others.

Speaking in an interview on the sidelines of the week celebration the Regional Director of the Adventist Education Unit Elder Edward Opoku Antwi said the Adventist School inculcate the Church Doctrine, into the life of their students but it's sad that some Adventists do ignore their schools and call on them to embrace their own.

Dr. Matilda Obeng Kyereh who lead the week-long program in Newtown, Church said the weeklong Education Week celebration is to help the education Unit take stock of their activities and make amendments. She called on students to be loyal to God, parents and teachers.
