Amo Memorial Seventh-Day Adventist Church Celebrates 25th Anniversary
The Amo Memorial Seventh – Day Adventist Church (AMSDA) of the Mid – North Ghana Conference in the Techiman Municipality held a special sabbath on the 1st October, 2022 to marks its 25th Anniversary celebration. The occasion also served as the unveiling of a potential Jubilee School that the church plans to construct.

Amo Memorial Seventh-Day Adventist Church Celebrates 25th Anniversary
The Amo Memorial Seventh – Day Adventist Church (AMSDA) of the Mid – North Ghana Conference in the Techiman Municipality held a special sabbath on the 1st October, 2022 to marks its 25th Anniversary celebration. The occasion also served as the unveiling of a potential Jubilee School that the church plans to construct.
The event which drawn together past and present members of the church was under the theme ‘Our Journey, Our Story, Our Praise under the auspicious of the President of the Mid – North Ghana Conference, Pastor Jonathan Amo Ameyaw.
The ceremony was graced by Nana Appenteng Fosu Gyeabour II, Chief of Hensua and Baamuhene of Techiman Traditional Area; Nana Owusu Agare II, Akwaamuhene of Techiman Traditional Area; Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu Adjare, MP, Techiman North Constituency; Hon. Benjamin Yaw Gyarko, MCE, Techiman Municipal; Hon. Addo – Donkor Everson, DCE, Techiman North, and many other distinguished personalities.
Speaking on the history of the church, Elder Emmanuel Gyimah, the first elder of the church narrated that the church was named after one Mr. Amu who was a missionary and a business man who brought the Adventist message to the people within the Techiman environs. According to him, an evangelistic crusade was mounted 1996 to establish the church by Elder E.O.G. Nsowah. Counting on the achievement of the church for the past 25 years, Elder Gyimah said that the church has established 4 churches and increase in membership and has undertaken many economic projects to generate funds for the church.
Giving a brief background on the theme, the church pastor who doubles as the district pastor of AMSDA church, Pastor Peter Badu, disclosed that the theme was chosen to recount on the journey, tell the story and give praise to the Lord for how far He has brought the church.
Speaking about the Jubilee school, Pastor Peter Badu explain that establishing the Jubilee school was timely and would be a model schools in the municipality.
The head of the Anniversary Planning Committee thanked the Lord and everyone who contributed to the success of the program.
A special harvest was made to mobilise funds for the construction of the anniversary school.
