ASHANTI CENTRAL GHANA CONFERENCE SHEPHERDESS INTERNATIONAL VISIT SELECTED SENIOR HIGH SCHOOLS

As part of its annual outreach initiative, the Shepherdess International of the Ashanti Central Ghana Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church embarked on a special visitation to selected Senior High Schools within its territory. On June 21, 2025, the team visited Effiduase Senior High/Commercial School in the Sekyere East District and Kenyasi SDA Senior High School in the Kwabre East Municipal Assembly.

This year's visitation aimed to rekindle the activities of the Ghana National Adventist Students' Association (GHANASDA) on these campuses while strengthening the bond between the Shepherdess Ministry and Adventist students in senior high schools. The interaction also sought to inspire spiritual revival and promote academic discipline among the students.

Present at the event was Shepherdess Mrs. Christiana Annor-Boahen, Coordinator for the Mid-Ghana Union Conference, Shepherdess International. She delivered an inspiring message, urging the students to make God the center of their lives, remain focused on their studies, and uphold Christian values even in a challenging academic environment.

In response to a heartfelt request by the students, the Shepherdess International donated an electronic keyboard and a public address system to enhance worship services on campus. The team also presented an undisclosed amount of money and assorted drinks to the students as a token of love and support.

Speaking to Hope Adventist News, Mrs. Mary Owusu, the Coordinator for the Shepherdess Ministry in the Ashanti Central Ghana Conference, explained that the visit was part of their annual mission to nurture, support, and spiritually empower Adventist students in second-cycle institutions. She emphasized the need to continually guide the youth in both spiritual and academic matters to prepare them for meaningful service to God and society.

The students, overwhelmed with joy and gratitude, expressed appreciation for the visit, pledging to stay rooted in Christ and serve faithfully through GHANASDA and their local campus fellowships.
