Jacobu District Ends Camp Meeting

The Jacobu district, of the Ashanti South Ghana Conference of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, has embarked on a significant milestone by hosting its inaugural camp meeting from August 22nd to August 27th, 2023. This noteworthy event garnered the participation of more than seven hundred members hailing from various churches within the Jacobu district.

The event included Pastor Stephen Kofi Anokye, President of the Ashanti South Ghana Conference, Pastor Uriah Osei Mensah, Youth Director of the Ashanti South Ghana Conference, and Pastor Collins Odoom, the dedicated district pastor of Jacobu.

With a distinct focus on rejuvenating the spirits of Church members and extending an inviting hand to those who have yet to embrace the Adventist faith, the four-day camp meeting unfolded as a spiritual revival. The goal was to spiritually uplift existing members and to extend a heartfelt invitation to those who have not yet embraced the teachings of Adventism.

In a conversation with HAN, Pastor Stephen Anokye, the esteemed President of the Ashanti South Ghana Conference, offered insights into the theme chosen for this year’s camp meetings. This theme served as a guiding light, directing the spiritual undertakings and discussions that unfolded during these sacred days.

Adding his voice to the symphony of spiritual guidance, Pr. Uriah Osei Mensah, the Youth Director for the conference, issued a compelling call to all the youth within the conference. He urged them to play an active role in contributing to the success and resonance of this year's camp meetings.

Pr. Collins Odoom, the district pastor who played a pivotal role in the realization of this event, he humbly expressed his profound gratitude to the divine for overseeing and blessing this transformative camp meeting.

The maiden camp meeting served as an embodiment of unity, spiritual reflection, and an earnest desire to share the teachings of Adventism. With a shared purpose, the participants embarked on a journey of spiritual growth, invigorating their faith and embracing the camaraderie of their fellow believers.
