OBUASI ESTATE DISTRICT WOMEN’S MINISTRY DONATES ESSENTIAL ITEMS TO AMADIE FOUNDATION ORPHANAGE HOME
As part of their four-day prayer retreat, the Women’s Ministries Department of the Obuasi Estate District of the Seventh-day Adventist Church extended a hand of compassion to the Amadie Foundation Orphanage Home in Fiankoma. This generous outreach aimed to support the daily needs of the home and bring hope to the children sheltered there.
In an interview, Mrs. Josephine Gyamera, the District Women’s Ministries Coordinator, shared that although the ministry has consistently supported various groups and institutions over the years, this year’s focus was directed toward the Amadie Foundation. She emphasized that the donation is a reflection of Christ’s love and an intentional step toward improving the lives of vulnerable children.
Shepherdess Love Vivian Adjei Mensah, the District Shepherdess, highlighted that charitable acts such as these go beyond material support — they serve as practical demonstrations of the gospel. She encouraged other districts to follow the example of Obuasi Estate by incorporating community impact into their ministry activities.
Also speaking to Hope Adventist News, Mrs. Christiana Asare, the Deputy Coordinator of the District Women’s Ministries, noted that this initiative is part of an ongoing commitment. She revealed plans to extend their outreach efforts to other institutions in the future, saying, “We are just getting started.”
Receiving the items on behalf of the orphanage, Miss Belinda Amadie, founder of the Amadie Foundation, expressed deep gratitude to the Adventist Church. She shared her personal journey, including her training as a nurse at Kwadwo Nursing Training College, and emphasized how vital donations like these are to the sustainability of the home. She thanked the Women’s Ministry wholeheartedly for their timely support and visit.
The donation included essential supplies such as food items, toiletries, sanitary products, and clothing — all aimed at improving the well-being of the children at the home.
The visit to the Amadie Foundation Orphanage is a shining example of faith in action. The Obuasi Estate District Women’s Ministry has not only touched lives but also inspired others with their selfless devotion to community service. As they continue to share love, hope, and kindness, their efforts remain a powerful witness to the practical expression of the gospel of Christ.
