KUNKA JUNCTION DISTRICT WOMEN’S MINISTRY LEADS CHARITABLE INITIATIVE TO SUPPORT THE NEEDY
In a heartwarming act of generosity and community care, Mr. Emmanuel Owusu, in collaboration with the Women’s Ministry of the Kunka Junction District of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, has extended support to the less fortunate in the community. The initiative provided essential food items, and other necessities to widows, the elderly, the sick, and vulnerable individuals within the district.
Speaking during the presentation, Mr. Owusu expressed his motivation for spearheading the donation, citing the visible struggles of many in the community. “Seeing the hardships faced by so many of our people pushed me to take action. It is my prayer that these items will bring relief and encouragement to those in need,” he said.
Madam Yaa Fosua, leader of the Kunka Junction District Women’s Ministry, also emphasized the significance of extending compassion and practical support to the needy. “As Christians, we are called to serve. It is time we extend our hands to those who are less fortunate among us. Acts of kindness may seem small, but they can make a profound difference in people’s lives,” she stated.
The gesture drew admiration and commendation from church and community leaders alike. Pastor Clifford Marfo, in his remarks, praised both Mr. Owusu and the Women’s Ministry for their joint effort, describing it as exemplary. “The Kunka Junction District has become a beacon of hope and a model for charitable action. This initiative proves that the church is not only about worship but also about meeting the real needs of people. I urge other districts across the conference to replicate this good example,” he urged.
The day’s activities not only brought relief to beneficiaries but also rekindled the spirit of solidarity within the church. The smiles and gratitude of the recipients testified to the impact of the initiative.
The charitable donation by Mr. Emmanuel Owusu, carried out through the Kunka Junction District Women’s Ministry, stands as a reminder of the power of compassion and unity. As they continue to inspire others through their actions, it is hoped that more districts and individuals will rise to support the needy, reinforcing the Adventist mission of service, love, and community transformation.
