The Lisabeth Seventh–Day Adventist Church has held her maiden career guidance and life coaching seminar for parents, and students at their church premises in the Obuasi municipality. The event dubbed: “Managing External Influences in Choosing a Lifetime Career”, seeks to guide the youth on their career path and help them learn about potential career opportunities available in their chosen fields. 

Addressing the participants, the first elder of the church, Elder George Mensah Jnr, said there was the need to counsel students and parents to make well-informed choices when selecting courses from the second cycle to the tertiary level to enable them to perform creditably. 

In an interview with one of the speakers Mr. Opoku Peprah a career coach and founder of the Koby Media Network, he believes the program will increase participant knowledge of the growth of their talents in connection to academic and career development. He recommended parents recognize the strengths and weaknesses of their children in their career development.

After the event, participants who spoke with Hope Adventist news expressed their gratitude to the organizers for the knowledge they had gained so far.
