SHEPHERDESS MINISTRY OF GREEN-VIEW CONFERENCE DONATES TO MUMSLOVE ORPHANAGE IN DUAYAW NKWANTA
The children at Mumslove Care Foundation Orphanage in Duayaw Nkwanta were blessed to receive a heartfelt donation from the Shepherdess Ministry of the Green-View Ghana Conference, the Ahafo Regional branch of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
As part of their quarterly outreach initiative, the pastors' wives donated assorted essential items to support the orphanage. These included toiletries, soft drinks, bags of rice, cooking oil, biscuits, and other food supplies—altogether amounting to approximately GHS 7,000.
In an interview with Hope Adventist News, Mrs. Juliana Ntim-Antwi, the Shepherdess Coordinator for the Green-View Ghana Conference, explained that this act of kindness was not just a humanitarian gesture but also a form of evangelistic outreach. “Our mission as Shepherdess is to embody the compassion of Christ. Reaching out to the needy is a core part of our ministry,” she stated. She also expressed her profound gratitude to all individuals and families who supported their noble cause.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the children, Mr. Imoro Adams, the founder and proprietor of Mumslove Care Foundation, expressed deep appreciation for the visit and the generous support. He narrated the story behind the orphanage's establishment, recounting how he and his wife began this journey in 2007 by bringing together homeless, abandoned, and vulnerable children from the streets to provide shelter, care, and education.
Currently, the orphanage houses 49 children, aged between 1 and 25 years, with many enrolled in various educational institutions. Remarkably, some have graduated from tertiary institutions and are now gainfully employed, testifying to the positive impact of the foundation.
However, Mr. Imoro also drew attention to the facility’s ongoing challenges. Chief among them is the issue of inadequate housing—where boys and girls currently share the same room due to lack of space, raising concerns about privacy, safety, and comfort. He appealed to the public and faith-based organizations to assist in addressing this pressing need.
Before the donation at the orphanage, the Shepherdess team, accompanied by the Ministerial Secretary of the Conference, joined the Duayaw Nkwanta Seventh-day Adventist Church for Sabbath worship. The service was marked by soul-lifting song ministrations, inspiring lectures tailored for women and youth, and a powerful divine message that encouraged the congregation to extend love beyond the church walls.
This donation effort by the Green-View Shepherdess Ministry reflects the Seventh-day Adventist Church’s holistic approach to mission—meeting not only the spiritual needs of the people but also supporting physical and emotional well-being. Their visit to the Mumslove Orphanage stands as a shining example of love in action, bringing hope, joy, and dignity to the lives of children in need.
